STUART HADDOW
My entire career has been spent in the nonprofit sector — teaching in the classroom, mobilizing volunteers, running fundraising campaigns, and managing foundation grantmaking. Through these experiences, I have seen firsthand that many people are interested in giving back, but are not always aware of the full landscape of organizations doing remarkable work closest to them.
As a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, I help donors build a clear giving strategy to find organizations that genuinely match what they care about, and connect nonprofits with people who are ready to support their work. I do not engage in financial planning or asset management, but work within your personal financial goals to make sure your giving is intentional and meaningful.
WHAT IS A CHARTED ADVISOR IN PHILANTHROPY?
Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) is a graduate-level credential from The American College of Financial Services focused on the strategic, tax, and legal dimensions of charitable giving. With this training, we will work together to ensure your philanthropic strategy best aligns with your broader financial picture.

● Lead grant strategy, grantee analysis, and stakeholder communication for a private family foundation. The relationships and processes from this work are central to how I help individual donors navigate their own philanthropic strategy.

● Lead a full-cycle fundraising program from strategy through execution, which has grown the Annual Fund from $850k to $1.3M in two years. This work helps me understand what motivates donors, how organizations report their impact, and best practices to build lasting philanthropic relationships.

● Managed corporate donor relationships representing $200k+ in annual giving and established a new partnership with Google. This experience demonstrated how to translate an organization & mission into language that moves people from casual interest to active investment.

● Engaged and stewarded 60+ corporate partners with a 98% year-over-year retention rate. Revived stagnant relationships into active partnerships through regular communication and proactively learning what each corporate partner values.
